Chris was an intense person who tragically had his life shortened. I'm sure he will be missed.

I knew Kit from when Lissa and I became fast friends at 8 years old. Kit was highly intelligent, haunted by pain and physiology, tragic. He was alternately scary and appealing. He was gorgeous, wild, ascerbic and funny.

His own pain kept him from us. We didn't know how to be with him, how to help him and he could only reach out in ways that threw us off. It's a big loss, a situation that haunts me still.

Kit was a good friend to me in my teenage years. We shared a lot of time walking barefoot through the streets of Cheltenham. In 1971, we even hitch-hiked to California together (remember when you could actually do that!). We had no money and were unprepared for the bad weather, but we watched each other's back and made it intact. It was an adventure of a lifetime and we learned much about our country and ourselves. He taught me a deeper appreciation of Bob Dylan, which has stayed with me to this day. Like many of us we lost touch and followed different paths later in life. I was saddened to hear about his early passing. He was a true free spirit. Rest in Peace Kit.
