Comments:

I have been incredibly blessed. I am happily married (13 years) to a fabulous man, Charlie. From my first, 16-year marriage I have a terrific son, Samuel Seid. “Sammy” graduated from UC Santa Cruz and entered a career in education; he has a wonderful long-time girlfriend who we adore.

UPDATE: April 2019: Son, Sammy, about to be ordained as a Conservative rabbi with a pulpit in "nearby" Poway, CA. Daughter-in-law, Heather, is in Cantorial School. Granddaughter, Winnie, nearly two years old.

After CHS I attended University of Pittsburgh, then moved to NY and graduated from Queens College. More recently, I retired in 2009 after a successful 34-year career with the Federal government (first in NYC and then in Southern California). Before I retired I was a manager and had employees all over the country. I am a long-time active member of the Orange County (CA) Jewish community (Hillel Board member, Hadassah Life Member, involved with two Chabads; still frequently substitute for a Cantor-friend, leading services and Seders [for 200] at a large local senior residence). I am also very involved with my synagogue - active member, lay leader and dedicated volunteer.

UPDATE: April 2019. For all my volunteer work I was honored in Feb 2018 at my synagogue's annual gala.

Life is grand - my parents [and my husband’s parents] are alive and well and live nearby. I am grateful for all life’s wonderful blessings.

UPDATE: April 2019: My mother will be 92 next month and my father will be 93 in August; they still live "independently" less than seven miles away. My mother-in-law, Ruth Lupul, is 87; sadly my father-in-law, Max Lupul (ז"ל) died in Nov 2016. We count our blessings everyday.

School Story:

My school years have provided me with many happy memories (the many wonderful plays, being captain of the majorettes and so much more). It’s been fun reconnecting (and in some cases simply connecting!) with CHS friends on Facebook. I enjoyed seeing my old friend and yours, Lisi Lewine (with whom I’ve remained in touch all these years), on my visits to Israel. Since my family lives in CA I don’t often get back to the Philadelphia area. I was there (for the first time in 30 years) briefly in 2010 for a family wedding. I’m sorry I didn’t know about the 40th reunion. Maybe next round.

UPDATE: April 2019: I enjoy following our CHS friends on Facebook. Ihas a am always in awe of Chuck Langerman, who regularly shares a treasure trove of CHS history.

Hi Marilyn, just noticed you've added your profile. Did you see our video? We were too cute (and very serious!) http://youtu.be/3ZLv2j3fCrI - CHS Majorettes
